Garyu no sakura (The 1100 years old cherry tree, Gifu)

Hajime Namiki

This print is most largest Namiki's print. This print is as remarkable as the tree itself. Incredible delicate details and lovely colors. Please see the details of tree trunk and flowers. This print bring very tranquil and relaxed mood to your room. I think this cherry print shows gentle and soft beauty of Japanese Cherry blossoms most.

 About Garyu no Sakura

This cherry tree is a huge tree in Gifu prefecture, its age is presumed to be more than eleven hundred years, its height is 15 meters, and its trunk is 7.3 meters round. Garyu Cherry Tree which literally means ‘The Lying-Dragon Cherry Tree,’ was so named because it resembles a dragon lying on the ground.
