This charming weeping cherry is more than 400 years old. This cherry tree name "Fusehime" means "Princess Fuse" which came from an epic novel "Nansô Satomi Hakkenden" (Legend of the Eight Dog Heroes of the Satomi Clan of Nanso) written by Kyokutei Bakin from 1814-1842.
