Boy's Day - 6

Hiroto Norikane

Very peace-loving etching "Boy's Day -6 is by Hiroto Norikane. This is special sheet number 1 of 100. When I see this print, I feel like I jump into a peaceful mountain village, feel the fresh air and very quiet environment which is very pretty and noiseless. Maybe just birds singing. In this, we see "Koinobori" carp-shaped flag. "Koi nobori" are most often seen on "Tango-no-Sekku" (Boy's Festival) when a carp is flown for each son in the family, a very large one for the eldest, the others ranging down in size. Colors are hand-applied finely. This is one of very popular "Boy's day" series.
