Jojakkoji Temple

Jojakkoji is Nichiren Buddhism temple established in 1596. This place was originally located Shiguretei of Fujiwara no Sadaie who selected Hyakunin ishu at this place. Priest Nisshin was the founder of the temple. Today, it is know as great spot of Koyo (the autumn leaves). From the upper hill, it has great view of Kyoto. There are beautiful Japanese gardens and flower gardens. Jojakkoji has beautiful aspects for all seasons.
