The amazing woodblock print 'Koto-in Sando' (Approach to Koto-in Temple in Autumn, Kyoto) is by Masao Ido. This print beautifully captures the stone-paved approach to the Koto-in, adorned with vibrant colored leaves. The intricate design features various patterns, such as the stone-paved path, shades of trees, straight bamboo handrails, and shoji sliding doors at the end. The contrast between the moss and the colorful leaves adds to the overall beauty of this print, evoking a sense of Kyoto's charm.

Koto-in Temple is located in a quiet corner of a bamboo forest within the vast grounds of Daitoku-ji Temple in Kyoto, which has 22 sub-temples. As you walk along the stone-paved path to the temple, enveloped in colored leaves, and enter the entrance, you can see into the inner courtyard. The falling autumn leaves that cover the southern garden, filled with many maple trees, are particularly beautiful.
