Fine Japanese woodblock print "Nijo Jo, Fuyu" (Nijo Castle at Winter) is by Koichi Okumura (1904-1974). A serene snow image of the Nijo Castle in Kyoto. This is one of the "Eight Noted Places of Kyoto" series.  Published by Unsodo. This print size is called "Chuban", little bit smaller size than "Oban" size.

Koichi Okumura (1904 - 1974) was an artist in Kyoto who designed woodblock prints for the Unsodo publisher. Okumura was a Nihonga (Japanese-style landscape) painter. He is a well-known very famous Japanese painting artist in Japan.

Technique: Woodblock 
Paper size: 10 and 1/4 x 7 and 3/4 inches. (26 cm x 19.7 cm)
Image size: 9 and 1/2 x 7 inches (24 x 18 cm)
Date: 1950's
Signed: Signature "Koichi" with the red seal on the lower left of the image
Condition: Excellent condition. Some printer's ink smudges on the margin which will be matted out.
