Wonderful woodblock print "Geku" (Outer Shrine of Ise Jingu) is by Gihachiro Okuyama (1907-1981).  Title "Geku" (Outer Shrine) on the upper left margin.  "Isejingu Hosannkai" (Ise Shrine Support Association to preserve) on the lower left margin. Artist signature "Gihachiro" with a red seal on the lower right corner of the image. Wonderful composition and strong colors. 

Geku (Outer Shrine of Ise Jingu)

Ise Jingu includes 125 jinja(Shinto shrine), centered around Kotaijingu(Naiku), dedicated to Amaterasu-Omikami, and Toyo’uke-daijingu(Geku), dedicated to Toyo'uke-no-Omikami. Its area is roughly the same size as the Center of Paris. Condition: Good condition with paper toning from its age. Two drying pin holes on the left margin. Ink smudges, soils, and creases on the margins as shown.
