Amazing woodblock print "Hinode Tsuru" (Cranes and Rising Sun)  is by Ōkyo Maruyama (1735-1795)  "Crane" and "Rising Sun" are both important good luck motifs of the New Year in Japan. Ōkyo Maruyama began as a student of the so-called Kano painting school in Kyoto. He became famous for his depiction of natural subjects in Chinese influenced style. Published by Unsodo. Artist name "Maruyma Ōkyo", the title "Hinode Tsuru", Carver's name "Unknown", printer's name "Saji" on the left margin. Unsodo seal on the right margin. This is later print from the original woodblocks (Meiji era)
